Yes! We partner with a small group of highly vetted soap makers and artisans who make all of our bath and body products using the highest quality, natural ingredients. All of our products are crafted in small batches, packaged, and labeled by hand.
Hub City Soapery’s mission is to offer gentle products using simple, quality ingredients. Many of our customers are able to use our products even though they’re not able to tolerate others due to sensitive skin issues. Most commercially-produced or “name brand” products are actually detergent based and contain many synthetic ingredients and chemicals. Typically, that’s what causes skin reactions. That’s very different from ours. We use simple, natural ingredients with hopes that even our customers with the most sensitive of skin will be delighted and have amazing results. Everyone’s skin is different, so we always recommend consulting with a healthcare professional for advice before using any skin care products if you’re prone to allergic reactions or irritation.
Our soap bars are made by hand in small batches using the old fashioned “cold process” method. Simply put, natural ingredients such as organic shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, soybean oil, and canola oil are combined with lye. This begins a process called saponification which produces an entirely new substance - soap! Our soaps are then scented with essential oils and high quality fragrance oils containing natural ingredients. They never contain artificial preservatives, petroleum products, parabens, phthalates, or lauryl sulfate. After being made, our soaps cure for at least 4 to 6 weeks in a climate controlled environment prior to being offered to our customers in our store. Some soap makers choose not to let their soaps cure this long. While that allows for quicker production, not fully curing causes soaps to be very soft, fall apart, and not last long.
Yes! Custom soap bars make perfect bridal shower gifts, wedding guest gifts, client gifts, personal gifts, or gifts for any other occasion. Choose your own base color, swirl colors, fragrance, and additives. With dozens of options and variations to choose from, we can create the perfect batch of soap to your personal specifications. Most of our customers find that our soaps typically last several weeks, but it depends on how many times you shower or bathe and how your soap bar is stored. Our soap bars last longer if kept dry between uses. Using a soap saver or draining soap dish will prolong the life of your soap bar. Curing also makes a big difference. The method and length of time the soap cures after it’s made, the longer it lasts. Our soaps cure for at least 4 to 6 weeks in a climate controlled environment prior to being offered to our customers in our store.
We’re happy to ship our products nationwide and we currently offer free shipping on orders over $75! Online orders are packaged and shipped directly from our store in Crestview, Florida via USPS. Orders are usually processed and shipped within 3 to 5 business days, often sooner. A tracking number will automatically be sent via email when your order leaves our store. If we’re unable to fulfill an order or a product is temporarily unavailable, we will notify you via email and offer to ship the product when it becomes available at no additional shipping cost, or refund your order via the payment method used at the time the order was placed.
